Hey there, I’m Valerie Jeanne Brooke, a late 30-something year old who was crazy enough to go to medical school after I already had quite a few grey hairs. I started this blog as a way to keep my friends and family up to date with what medical school and residency was like, and it’s turned into my saving grace. The medical educational process goes by so so so fast that the only way to remember it all (and stay sane) is to write every so often, which I have been doing for six years now. I hope a book will come out of all of this, but at the very least, some day I will look back upon my experiences in medical school and residency with relief that it’s over, and hopefully, not much regret that I started the journey in the first place.
